Music by the Thompson Egbo-Egbo Trio & choreography by Vicki St. Denys

Orillia Opera House | Friday , October 14th, 7:30pm

Thompson T. Egbo-Egbo has seduced audiences around the world with his versatile and passionate performances. Between his various interpretations of the American song book and disguised melodies of Sir Elton John, Nirvana or Rihanna —one thing is certain — It will be hard to tell who is having more fun, the audience or Thompson himself! Catch him playing with Jeff Halischuk on drums and Randall Hall on bass. This dynamite musical trio will share the stage with five powerful movers dancing to choreography by Canadian Jazz Dance virtuoso - Vicki St. Denys.

Lance Anderson presents
Take Five: Dave Brubeck (Words and Music)

Featuring Vern Dorge (alto sax), Terry Clarke (drums), Neil Swainson (bass), and Lance Anderson (words and piano)

Orillia Opera House | Sunday , October 16th, 2:00pm

Do you know Lance Anderson? He calls Orillia home, but he’s spent an exciting career in the Canadian music spotlight. Anderson is a Juno award winning producer (Leahy) and the 2014 Maple Blues Award ‘Keyboardist of the Year’. He’s trained as a classical composer and has both film and TV credits as a writer. His personal friendship with Oscar Peterson sparked “Oscar With Love” - a critically acclaimed 3CD package that commemorates Peterson and includes some of the world’s top jazz pianists including Chick Corea, Ramsey Lewis, Michel Legrand, and Oliver Jones. Lance is also a superb story teller. Don’t miss a brilliant afternoon of Dave Brubeck music, accompanied by tales from behind the curtain and inside the recording studio!
