Kate Hilliard

Creative Director

Kate Hilliard (she/her) is an artist, educator and curator. She has performed works by a wide range of choreographers across Canada and  Europe. Her own performances have been commissioned and presented across Turtle Island, in Mexico, Australia, Italy, and Germany. Hilliard has been a faculty member at Toronto Metropolitan University in the Dance and Acting departments since 2015.  In 2020 she relocated to her native Orillia and played a leadership role in founding Arts Orillia where she currently fosters creative residencies and programs for Canadian artists and audiences. Kate studied contemporary performance at many institutions in Ontario including The School of Dance in Ottawa. She studied Art History at The University of Toronto, and holds an MFA from the University of Plymouth through the Transart Institute.
